Gasyuk N. Cytological and cytogenetic features of the normal human oral mucosa and in the inflammatory process

The thesis defined individual regional indices of the features of the process of differentiation of oral mucosa epithelial cells in healthy people and in gender aspect. It is shown that (Del/Del) genotype as a polymorphous version of the ТF NF-kB1 transcrip-tion nuclear factor gene, is reliably connected with the occurrence of the fast progressing periodontitis in young age. It presents the percentage ratio of the different classes of gingival and buccal epithelial cells in the gender aspect. It has been established that two levels of local protection are functioning in the gingival sulcus: intraepithelial and connective-tissue. The first level is provided by the intraepithelial neutrophilic granulocytes, and the second one is provided by the succulent-associated lymphoid tissue. The analysis of the cellular composition of the gingival proper lamina infiltrates contributed to systematization of generalized peri-odontitis to «persistent», «conditionally persistent» and «progressing».
