This thesis is devoted to techniques for fabrication of high-emission long-life scandate cathodes and powder ceramic materials under microwave heating (MWH). The mechanisms of the MWH effect on the processes of mass transfer and structural-phase transformations during sintering of powder ceramic materials on the basis of the Al2O3-Cr2O3-ZrO2-Y2O3, Y2O3-Al2O3-ZrO2, Si3N4-Al2O3-Y2O3(Yb2O3) systems have been established. Science-grounded principles for structure engineering in production of scandate cathodes and ceramic heterophase materials under MWH are formulated.
