Essay

This thesis is devoted to the development of new approaches for improvement of performance of powder-based consolidated parts in powder metallurgy and ceramics. New numerical approach called Direct multiscale modeling is put forward in the Thesis for the solution of multiscale problems. It is based on simultaneous numerical modeling of powder consolidation problems on the structural level of powder particles and macroscopic structural level without any formulation of macroscopic constitutive equations in analytical form.
