Essay

The thesis is devoted to the issue of evaluation of the learning outcomes of the students of economic specialties. The theoretical and the methodological aspects of the considered problem are represented; their current state is analyzed. The necessity of analysis of the factors that influence on the final results of students' education, and interdependence and interrelation of those factors are proved. The author stresses that the goals of educational system are not only the acquisition by students of professional knowledge and skills, but also the formation of abilities to their constant updates and upgrades in future professional activity. The requirements of recruitment agencies to specialists who can qualify for this or that position embrace the broad spectrum of the competencies. Therefore it is necessary to focus on the development of the students' ability to self-analysis, personal independence, to form socially significant values, and to enrich their interaction experience. At the same time an integral component of the educational process is an active self-dependent work of students especially in the process of evaluation and analysis of the results. The necessity of evaluation criteria to ensure the reliability and minimize the subjectivity of a teacher is proved. A criterion is a description of the parameters under which a student can determine the level of achievement of educational aims. A criterion stimulates the students to focus their attention on those elements that should be contained into the final result, involves standards for students' self-assessment and encourages the students to take part in evaluation and improve their chances of achieving the desired results. Therefore the elaboration of the educational evaluation tools (criteria, indicators, scales, units, etc.) is a significant factor. The presented system of evaluation is developed in the context of a lifelong education principle and is realized on the basis of competence-, activities- and student-oriented approaches.The integrity of the assessment caused by integrative nature of the interaction of all components on the basis of consistency of goals subjects of educational process. The author's technique of the creation interactive educational tasks as the core of the educational complex and the author's technique of the creation interactive multimedia presentations and supporting materials for the lectures are developed, experimentally tested and implemented into the learning process. Such approach demonstrates fast feedback, activates the students' learning, and contributes to the personal development of the future economists and the increase of the learning outcomes. Quantitative and qualitative indicators of experimental work have shown the effectiveness of the implementation of the proposed evaluation system into the learning process.
