Essay

Object: a piecewise-homogeneous isotropic, anisotropic and piezoelectric body with cracks in the adhesive layers and at the interface of materials. Objective: investigation and development of models of interfacial cracks in isotropic, anisotropic and piezoelectric bimaterials, which would give the opportunity to determine adequately the possibility of their development. Subject: stress field, displacement and electric displacement resulting from the use of different models of interface crack. Scientific novelty: the models of near crack tip zones of interfacial cracks in isotropic, anisotropic and piezoelectric materials, which eliminated the singularities in normal and shear stresses at the crack tip, are developed and investigated. The model of electromechanical pre-fracture zone for a crack with finite electric permeability in piezoelectric material is suggested. The zones of localization of plastic deformation in thin interface between two dissimilar materials which stress-strain curve have a "peak-tooth" are investigated. The method of analysis of a conductive interfacial crack with a contact zone in a piezoelectric bimaterial under the action of mechanical stress and electric field, which parallel to the crack faces, is developed. A crack between two piezoelectric materials under the action of remote compressive normal and a shear stresses as well as concentrated forces on the crack faces is investigated. The areas of application: machine design, mechanical engineering, education.
