The thesis deals with the clinical-laboratory substantiation of new methods of diagnostics, treatment and prevention of the main stomatological diseases in children afflicted with diffuse nontoxis goiter (2026 patients). The occurence, intensity and clinical signs of dental caries and diseases of periodontal tissue have been detected. The indices of a mineralizing potential of the oral fluid and blood serum of children, their hormonal regulartion, condition of microelement supply of the body been studied. Pathogenetically substantiated complex of therapeutic-preventive measures concerning dental caries have been elaborated and tested. Branch- medicine.
