The thesis is devoted to comprehensive and complex research of modern tendencies of legal regulation of labour in Ukraine and the European Union. The legal mechanism of formation and regulation of labor relations in Ukraine is studied. The theoretical approaches to the systematization and codification of labor legislation in Ukraine are analyzed. Along with codification of labor legislation of Ukraine is suggested to consider the possibility of systematization labor law through its incorporation. The features of using in Ukraine collective contractual regulation of labor in the modern business environment are disclosed. The ways of its review according to international experience and national specifics are suggested. The role of international labor law is defined in the legal regulation of labor relations of countries - EU members. Established that the direct transfer of EU norms and standards (especially those relating to social security) due to the lack of economic foundation in Ukraine is currently impossible. The solution in this case can serve as a selective adoption of some advanced elements of legal regulation of labor, which are common in major European countries, and which may be introduced and act soon in Ukraine system of labour law.
