The thesis is focused on the research of the nature and characteristics of administrative and legal provision of the state information policy by the National Police of Ukraine. The methodological principles of ensuring the state information policy by the police authorities of Ukraine have been analyzed. The concept of the state information policy has been clarified; its objective, tasks, principles and directions have been defined. The general characteristics of the subjects of providing the state information policy have been provided.
