Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of optimizing the treatment of comorbid diseases – coronary heart disease (CHD) with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). The features of metabolic and cardiohemodynamic disorders in patients with a combination of CHD and DM that been defined in the work expand knowledge about pathogenetic and pathophysiological mechanisms of progression of diseases and allow to specify treatment tactics. The comparative analysis of the effectiveness of additional to basic therapy 4-month use of alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) and complex ALA with zinc (Zn) sulfate in patients with type 2 DM who have had non-Q-MI was conducted. The theoretical data on the pleiotropic effects of the used drugs were supplemented. It is established that combination of ALA with Zn sulfate is accompanied by the most expressive positive changes in the correction of carbohydrate metabolism and dislipoproteinemia, reduces the activity of proinflammatory markers of inflammation, significantly affects the dynamics of cardiohemodynamic parameters and the state of the autonomic nervous system.
