Essay

Object - is the processes of formation and development of publishing and printing activity (PPA) in the regions. Methods of statistical and regression analysis, comparative analysis, systematization and generalization, system approach, modeling, generalization, modified gravitational model, rank correlation, graph theory, fuzzy set theory. Results - the substantiation of theoretical and methodological provisions and providing of practical recommendations on the analysis, evaluation, modeling and transformation of PPA’s in the regions of Ukraine as a result of institutional transformations. Novelty - a methodological approach is proposed for comparing the institutional dynamics of regional development of PPA on the basis of a modified gravity model; model of adaptive mechanism of regional development of PPA is developed, which takes into account significant regional disparities and varying levels of adaptability in the regions to institutional changes; the conceptual basis of transformation strategy PPT is formed in the regions under the impact of institutional change as one of the fundamental components in providing development activity, which includes concepts of the formation of basic institutions, identification of priority strategic zones of institutional changes in the development of the PPA in the regions, principles of forming a system for supporting the development of innovative institutions, synthesis of the model of transformation of activity in the regions on the basis of the process approach and the system of post-transformation events; the procedure is proposed for the transformation of business processes related to the production and sale of publishing and printing products, on the basis of the formation of their tree. It is introduced into the practice of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, the Department of Internal and Information Policy of the Lviv Regional State Administration, the Department of Information Activity and Public Relations of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration and the Executive Office of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, the Ukrainian Association of Publishers and Book Distributors, the Public Union «Publishing Cluster and Printing Industry» and in the educational process of the Ukrainian Academy of Printing.
