Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the current problem of pedagogical design in the system of general secondary education. The theoretical analysis was carried out and the solution of the current scientific problem of theoretical justification and practical implementation of pedagogical design under present conditions of educational reform was proposed. The research of the pedagogical design process as well as the development and practical implementation of pedagogical projects in the system of general secondary education was carried out within the concept of the New Ukrainian School in terms of competency based approach. The organizational and didactic conditions of pedagogical design are substantiated, social factors of influence on the process of instructional design are revealed, the means of organizational and methodical support of the pedagogical design process aimed to increase the level of teachers' professional competence are given. A functional model of pedagogical design in the system of general secondary education is developed, which is presented as a structured set of interrelated and interconnected components of the design process aimed at providing an effective project pedagogical activity in the system of general secondary education. Author's pedagogical projects have been developed, experimentally tested and implemented in the educational process: on updating content, methods, pedagogical technologies of educational process organization in the institutions of general secondary education; creation of the innovative and informative educational environment as well as the teachers' training for the project activity and supporting materials for them. The presented results of the research and practical recommendations for the project-based pedagogical activity intensify project activities of teachers; promote the development of their professional competence and their personality.
