The thesis is devoted to the substantiation of the theoretical and methodological foundations and the development of scientific and practical recommendations on the formation and functioning of the mechanisms of the subsystem of economic diagnostics in the system of strategic management of economic activities of enterprises and production associations of the agro-food sector. In the dissertation the functions and methodological principles of diagnostics in the system of strategic management of activity of enterprises and industrial associations of agro-food sphere are substantiated. The conceptual foundations of the systematic methodology of diagnostics of technical and economic information in the system of strategic management of activity of enterprises and industrial associations of the agro-food sector are developed, as well as recommendations on the use of a systematic approach to the development of methods for designing and introducing the function of systematic economic diagnostics at enterprises of the agro-food sector, etc. The concept of constructing the functional structure of diagnostics in the system of strategic management of activity of enterprises and industrial associations of the agro-food sector is proved. The mechanism of organizational support of the function of integrated economic diagnostics in the system of strategic management of activity of enterprises and industrial associations of the agro-food sector is developed. The conceptual model of the subsystem of integral economic diagnostics in the system of strategic management of activity of enterprises and industrial associations of the agro-food sector is proposed.
