Beschastnyi V. The Theory and Practice of Criminological Support for Crimes Combating in Ukraine

The thesis is the first in Ukraine complex and systematic research of theoretical bases of criminological support for crimes combating as the system of knowledge on essence, forms, types and methods of such support as well as main courses of enhancement of criminal preventive practice and crimes combating in general. Based on the analyses of statistical indexes in 2010-2016 the thesis researches contemporary state and tendencies of crime in Ukraine and outlines numerical options of scenarios of criminological situation until the year of 2021. The work formulates the notion of criminological support for crimes combating, defines structure and content of corresponding theory in the system of general crimes combating theory. It defines main characteristics and features of criminological support for crimes combating and ascertains methodology for its examination. The thesis estimates the state of normative-legal, organizational, informational and scientific-methodological support for crimes combating. The thesis provides characteristic, works out classification and defines forms of informational support for crimes combating. It reviews main results of scientific criminological researches and defines the forms of implementation of the results of criminological scientific activity. Based on the foregoing the work proposes ramified system of measures for enhancement of criminological support for crimes combating in general and at separate its courses – normative-legal, organizational, informational and scientific-methodological support.
