Essay

The object of the research: professional training of future technology teachers. The subject of the research: the theoretical and methodological foundations of the professional training of future technology teachers and the methodical system of forming readiness for the development and use of electronic educational resources. Thesis research represents the Author’s concept of professional training of future teachers in technologies concerning development and application of electronic training resources (ETR) and has as its aim to validate and develop an integral, transparent, feasible methodical system directed to mastering various technologies by future professionals. Implementation of methodical system demonstrates positive dynamics in IT-competency level improvement among future teachers in technology by means of achievement aims (strategic, operative, tactical); content of professional training of future teachers in technologies (motivating, cognitive, active); forms (problematic lectures, desk studies and seminars, laboratory works, round tables, practical work, trainings, practices, master classes, individual self-training) and methods (interviews, explanations, demonstration, self-analysis and mutual analysis of individual lessons, game simulation tasks, brain attack, computerized testing, situation modeling, experiments, practices, exercises, tasks, portfolio generation, review of teachers’ work experience in ETR application, class project development), innovative methods and technologies of the ETR development and application, particularly in the course of technical subjects studying, e.g. computerized engineering drawing; types of knowledge control (tests, tasks involving calculation and graphics, interactive tasks, tasks for self-training, individual training and researching tasks, term projects and diploma projects).
