Essay

Economic integration and coordination are proved to be the basic foundations for the formation of a competitive agro-food sector, taking into account the synergistic effect of their interaction. The scientific and methodological approach to the characterization of the organizational structure of food supply of the country implies the presence of the system-forming features (complex, sphere, sector) of the corresponding matrix of types of agro-food formations and methodological conceptual approaches (agro-industrial, agro-food, food approaches) in the creation of integrated formations for food supply in the agro-food sector . It is determined that the agro-food sector is a large part of the country's economy, which includes agriculture, processing industry and food trade combined to ensure the country's food security and the socio-economic development of these sectors of the economy and, in particular, rural areas. It was established that the agro-food system of the country as a social and economic system is a set of interrelated industries (activities) and rural areas with the respective population, which together form a certain integrity, covering the processes of production, exchange and consumption of agricultural raw materials and food, ensuring the sustainable development of the corresponding industries and territories. It is proved that the agro-food system of the country consists of subsystems of the first and second levels.
