Essay

The thesis provides the extensive study of the theory and methods of deontological training of education managers at universities. The study identifies and describes the stages of managerial deontology formation and development. Deontological training as a process provides continuing professional development of specialists, which means getting fundamental deontological knowledge, deontological abilities and skills, practical experience, awareness of moral and ethical standards of behaviour essential for performing managerial functions. The author has examined the components of deontological competence (motivation and value-based, cognitive, activity-based) and the criteria of forming education managers’ deontological competence at university master’s level. The system of education managers’ deontological training at universities is theoretically substantiated and presented through the goal-based, content-oriented, procedural, methodological, evaluation and result-based components. Organizational and methodological conditions of education managers’ deontological training at universities have been determined. The effectiveness of the methodology of education managers’ deontological training at universities has been tested. The pedagogical experiment has demonstrated that all the components of deontological competence of education managers have a positive formation dynamics.
