Pyndus T. Pathogenetic substantiation of complex treatment and prevention of periodontal diseases complications with metabolic syndrome

Metabolic syndrome combined with periodontitis in patients had a negative effect on dental status, glucose and fat metabolism indices, enzyme activity, bacterial contamination levels in the oral cavity, genetic markers associated with body fat metabolism, inflammation and thrombocyte formation, increased concentration and expression proinflammatory destructive cytokines, reduction of the content of methylated DNA of anti-inflammatory genes in gum tissues and blood. Modeling of metabolic syndrome in an experiment on rats has led to deterioration of biochemical parameters of blood, mineral bone marrow metabolism, increased resorption of the alveolar process. Therapeutic and prophylactic complex allowed to lower the body weight of rats, to normalize the parameters of microbiocenosis, antioxidant-prooxidant system and inflammation in the gums, in serum, in the liver, to improve the mineralization of bone tissues, to restore the integrity of the epithelial cover and microcirculation. The medical and prophylactic complex allowed for a year of observation significantly improve the dental status of patients, biochemical parameters of oral liquid, reduce the expression of cytokines at the site of inflammation, the main parameters of fat metabolism, densitometric parameters of bone metabolism, functional state of the periodontal microcapillar gum, barrier protection of gingival mucous.
