The dissertation carried out the Orthodox theological education system's in Ukraine comprehensive analysis, identified its basic principles and specific forms in the Orthodox Churches' social teachings context as the basis for the moral and ethical qualities' formation, clergy's citizenship and professional competencies in pastoral, missionary and social service. A complex religious-philosophical study of the relationship between the Orthodox churches' social teachings and theological education's in Ukraine is conducted, which allowed to determine the Orthodox Churches' social doctrine's factors and mechanisms of the influence on the theological education's system in Ukraine, in particular on the Orthodox the clergy's moral and ethical competence formation and social and civil position. Based on the Orthodox Churches' social doctrines corpus' analysis of Ukraine and reliable empirical sociological data, a fundamental relationship's existence between the modern social doctrine and the Orthodox theological education and upbringing system in Ukraine is proved: the Orthodox Churches' social teachings' incorporation into the theological education system influences the Orthodox clergy's moral and ethical competence and social and civil position 's formation through the educational process' democratization mechanisms and strengthen the social aspect in the Orthodox theological education (social service, the practical social work, etc.). Proposed by the author the Orthodox theological education development periodization on the following criteria: the time period; the main socio-political and historical events and processes in Ukraine; Orthodoxy in Ukraine development's historical aspect; the Orthodox theological education's institutional forms (the theological education system), the main church and secular figures in theological education system's in Ukraine formation and development sphere; theological education's socio-philosophical basis (especially the social study formation, the Orthodox Churches' social doctrine). The Orthodox Churches' social teaching's historical chronology development was built in conjunction with the theological education system's establishment. The Orthodox priest's key educational competencies in modern native Orthodox theological education are highlighted. The expediency is justified in the modernization task context facing the Orthodox education in Ukraine as a whole, competence approach introduction into the Orthodox theological education system, which allows to overcome the contradictions between the church education main tasks: the moral, ethical and spiritual education in the Orthodox tradition and the acquisition of modern theological knowledge. Based on the author's sociological research data analysis, students' from Orthodox theological educational institutions the value and moral consciousness' structure are presented, in which the following structural components are highlighted: cognitive, ideological, behavioral, emotional. The attitudes' features towards theological education in Ukraine for students from Orthodox theological high schools and the expert's sphere have been clarified.
