Thesis for a Scholarly Degree of Doctor of Science in History, Speciality 07.00.06 – Historiography, Source Studies, and Special Historical Disciplines. – Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National University of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine. – Kyiv, 2018. The thesis brings to the light the results of the comprehensive analysis of the historiographic sources related to the history of the land relations development, establishment of the agrarian law in Ukraine throughout early 20th century, implementation of land reforms by Ukrainian governments of the Struggle for Independence period in 1917 – 1921. The main groups of the narrative sources have been systematised and classified, conditions for the formation of the main types of documents and scientific historical literature have been studied and their external features described, the problematic and theoretical content analysis of specific collections in central and regional archives, published materials, monographs, generalising works, theses, theses’ abstracts, scientific papers and other sources has been made. The thesis author has utilised the potential of the interdisciplinary comparative, historical and genetic research of the agrarian law in the Russian empire, legislative acts of the Ukrainian Central Rada, Hetmanate of Pavlo Skoropadskyi, Directorate of the Ukrainian People’s Republic, Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, land laws of the Anton Denikin and Pyotr Wrangel’s governments implemented in the period of the Struggle for Independence within Ukrainian ethnic territory.
