Kravchenko M. Systemic and structural approach to the formation of economic sustainability of machine-building enterprises

The paper presents a conceptually new solution to the scientific problem of the formation of economic sustainability of machine-building enterprises from the standpoint of the systemic and structural approach. The expediency of applying the systemic and structural approach, which is forming in the context of methodology of system economic theory, is substantiated. The economic sustainability interpretation is clarified, and holistic integrated systemic representation of its concept is formed in the content field of the system economic theory. The methodological foundations of the system analysis of enterprise sustainability are revealed. The spatiotemporal features of the enterprise are determined. The methodological provisions for the formation of sustainability of an enterprise are formulated from the positions of the systemic and structural approach, the expediency of using econometrics for their verification is also justified. Methodical support of an diagnosing of sustainability of the enterprises and of their suprasystem, based on the assessment of the structural balance of their four internal subsystems with the different spatiotemporal localization, is developed. The indexes of economic sustainability on the example of sixteen machine-building enterprises are determined. The index of economic sustainability of the socioeconomic systems of Ukraine is additionally determined and the role of enterprises in the formation of a sustainable economy is assessed. The reliability of the methodology is verified in the both cases. The main hypothesis of the research that the level of economic sustainability of the enterpriseі depends on the structural balance of its internal subsystems of four types is confirmed. The types of structural configuration by their economic sustainability level are determined. The fundamental provisions of the systemic economic theory are verified and partially refined. Economic manifestations of the revealed structural disproportions of the enterprises are determined and analyzed. The mechanism of formation of their sustainability is disclosed. The development of the enterprise subsystems is predicted. The toolkit of economic sustainability formation is offered and the sequence of development of the enterprises on the basis of its use is revealed.
