Stavchenko S. Political crisis management in democratic political systems: a theoretical and methodological analysis

Object – general architectonics and procedural-dynamic principles of management of a political crisis. The purpose is to reveal the theoretical and methodological principles of management of the political crisis in the conditions of democratic political systems. Methods – complex unity of cyclic, systemic-cybernetic and synergetic approaches, theoretical and methodological analysis, methods of structural-functional analysis, modeling, comparison. The dissertation describes the epistemological principles of the study of political crises and their management possibilities. An interpretive strategy for studying the management of political crises as a theoretical concept and political practice is developed for the purpose of methodological ordering of the diversity of the conceptual-categorical apparatus of political crisis management and use of experience of democratic political systems for resolving political crises in modern Ukraine. The procedural-dynamic features of management of the political crisis in the conditions of democratic political systems are revealed, and the possibilities of diagnosing crisis phenomena in the phase transitions of the development of a democratic political system are clarified. The types of political crises in the context of the development of democratic political systems have been identified and described. The essential characteristics of the crisis of manageability as the basic component of the political crisis are revealed and the strategic guidelines for its regulation at different stages of crisis management in the conditions of a democratic political system are revealed. The nature of the relationship between the participants in the crisis process and the specifics of crisis communication in the conditions of a democratic political system are revealed. The content of preventive technologies of management of the political crisis is revealed and possibilities of their application in conditions of transitive political systems are established. The specifics of media support of the crisis situation in democratic political systems are revealed and its main stages are characterized.
