Bilyk N. Comparativistics Strategies in Serbian Novel on the Boundary of the ХХ–ХХІ Centuries.

The thesis is dedicated to extraction in Serbian novel of the ХХ – beginning of the ХХІ centuries figurative solutions adequate to comparativistics strategies and their illumination from the perspective view of formal productivity and notional efficiency, particularly in the novels by M. Prodanović in the context of important achievements in this creative sphere made by Prodanović’s precursors and contemporaries. In the work for the first time a complex multidirectional analytical illumination of comparativistics strategies projection in Serbian novel on the boundary of the XX–XXI centuries is undertaken. Legitimate and efficient for a combined illumination of Serbian novel definitive-theoretical borders and internal hierarchy of comparativistics strategies – intertextual connections, intermediality and imagology – find their integral outline. In representative and outstanding novels created by a pleiad of acknowledged Serbian writers in the ХХ–ХХІ centuries, particularly I. Andrić, M. Selimović, M. Pavić, G. Petrović etc., the figurative correlates of comparativistics strategies – intertextuality, ekphrasis, hypotyposis, intermediality, synesthesia, imagology with their direction into the pass of tradition – are systematically dustinguished. The comprehensive comparatively correlated experience of Serbian novel is regarded as a context for a more detailed study of original specific of figurative matter of the works by the contemporary Serbian artist M. Prodanović.
