Оbject of research: processes of convergence and divergence of socio-economic systems and their impact on national economies. Purpose of the study: the disclosure of theoretical and methodological foundations and the development of mechanisms for regulating the socio-economic convergence of Ukraine in the process of its European integration. Research methods and equipment: logical-historical method; structural-functional, system and comparative analysis; economic and mathematical modelling. Theoretical and practical results: the theoretical construction of the divergence trap, practical recommendations for state regulation of socio-economic convergence of the Ukraine - EU. Novelty: theoretical and methodological principles are revealed and mechanisms for regulation of socio-economic convergence of the Ukraine - EU are developed.
