Kurman T. Theoretical and methodological foundations of legal provision of sustainable development of agricultural production.

In the dissertation the complex research of theoretical and methodological foundations of legal support of sustainable development of agricultural production is carried out. Within this work there are researched the theoretical and methodological principles of legal regulation of agricultural production.There were formulated author`s definitions of such basic agrarian-legal categories as agrosphere, agricultural production, peasant, state agrarian policy, food safety, as well as a comprehensive analysis of the current agrarian legislation in these spheres. It was analyzed the essence of sustainable development as a general scientific phenomenon and as a direction of agrarian-legal regulation. The signs of sustainable development of agricultural production as an agrarian-legal category are revealed, on the basis of which the author's definition of this concept is formulated. The system of measures for the sustainable development of agricultural production was worked out and it was made their author's classification.There are considered theoretical and legal aspects of legal provision of sustainable development of traditional and alternative forms of agricultural production. Particular attention is paid to the legal principles of ecologization of traditional agricultural production, as well as to the legal aspects of conducting such an alternative form of agricultural production, such as organic agriculture in crop and livestock production. The problem issues in the legal support of the use of biotechnologies in the conditions of sustainable development of agricultural production are analyzed, the author's approach to their classification is applied. On the basis of the study of the legal framework for the sustainable development of agricultural production, the author worked out and substantiated a number of proposals for the improvement of the current agricultural legislation, in particular, the author's approach to the structure of the draft Law of Ukraine "On Sustainable Development of Rural Areas" was proposed.
