Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of the development of elementary school student's creativity in the process of studying mathematics and science subjects. In the thesis, elementary school students' creative abilities are specified as individual psychological peculiarities of the child, which can be developed and effect on the child’s readiness to the creative activity. The methodological foundations of the development of creative abilities of the individual have been outlined: postneoclassical educational paradigm (philosophical level of methodological knowledge), systemic, synergetic and activity approaches (general scientific level), competence and personally oriented approaches (specifically scientific level), technological and qualimetric approaches (operational and activity level). Our research in the context of these paradigms and approaches has allowed us to create the didactic system of the development of elementary school students’ creative abilities in the process of studying mathematics and science subjects and implement it in the practice of elementary school. The system is as a complex synergetic formation, the essential features of which are the subjectivity of the participants of the didactic process, value-based learning, as well as learning based on their own discoveries, consistency, feasibility, diagnostic and corrective support. The peculiarities of the development of elementary school students’ creative abilities in the process of studying mathematics and science subjects have been determined. The influence of morphofunctional (development of the bone and muscular system, brain, nervous processes), psychic (thinking, attention, memory, imagination, speech, sensation, perception) and personal (interest, activity, organization, ingenuity) features of elementary school pupils of on their creative abilities has been found out. There is a direct relationship between the development of students' creative abilities and educational activity. The didactic potential of mathematics and science subjects (mathematics, sciences, “I explore the world”) is the ability of these subjects to perform one of the main functions of education – the formation of a creative, fully developed personality. The main reasons for the episodic nature of the creative activity organization at the lessons of mathematics and science are given. The didactic potential of scientific and mathematical education as the basis for the effective organization of is revealed. Field – pedagogy.
