The dissertation is devoted to solving a significant theoretical and practical problem – the improvement of the organizational model and direct functioning of customs authorities in the conditions of European integration of Ukraine. On the basis of analysis of modern and historical experience, generalization of practice of customs implementation by customs administrations of EU countries, provisions of national, foreign and international normative legal acts, scientific developments, and the conceptual approach to solving the problem of reforming the domestic customs service is presented.
