Essay

The object of research: world historiographical discourse on Soviet history of the 30s of XX century contains various defining paradigms of scientific and historical knowledge of the Holodomor problem. The aim of research: to find out the research programs and scientific paradigms of the world grand narrative on the history of the Holodomor in Ukraine, to determine the historiographic stages of the development of the topic, to carry out a conceptual measurement of the current state, characteristic features that determine the trends and directions of the study of the problem. The subject of research: a comprehensive process of accumulating knowledge on the history of the Holodomor of 1932-1933in Ukraine, in Ukrainian and foreign historiography, theoretical and factual achievements of scientists from Ukraine and abroad for the entire time the topic was developed, conceptual differences and problem-thematic priorities of world historical science on the Holodomor. The results of research: the dissertation work is the first synthesis historiographic study of the whole complex of domestic and foreign scientific developments of the Holodomor problem of 1932-1933 in Ukraine. The conceptual and methodological features of research topics defined by representatives of various sociocultural and scientific circles of Europe, America, Australia, Asia, the achievements and shortcomings of world historiography. The genesis is traced and the current state of historiographic studies of the Holodomor theme is revealed; the level of representativeness of the source base is established; research programs and historiographic stages (3 programs and 6 stages) are indicated; theoretical achievements in the territorial and conceptual dimensions are analyzed; characterized the dynamics, content, current state of the world scientific discourse on the concept of the Holodomor as the genocide of the Ukrainian people; resources and prospects for further research on the topic are indicated. The sphere of usage: the further research of the current subject, writing of the synthesis works, manuals, reading of the high school courses on the history of Ukraine.
