Budko V. Utilizing Solar and Wind Power to Charge Electric Vehicles

The Doctoral thesis is focused on expanding opportunities to utilize both wind and solar energy potential in Ukraine to charge electric vehicles, as well as the produce hydrogen to fuel electric vehicles tanks running on hydrogen-and-oxygen fuel cells. The thesis analyzes implementation possibilities to build up charging stations using wind, PV and hybrid wind-solar power plants for electricity generation and further charging buffer batteries, and as a result, at the end charging electric vehicles. It should be noted, that autonomous charging stations operation in Ukraine will allow widening the network infrastructure for filling stations without connecting to conventional power transmission lines and producing less negative environmental impact.
