Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the problems of development of modern academic choral a cappella art. The research solves the following tasks: to identify the status of the problem of the development of modern academic choral a cappella art; concretization of the conceptual apparatus of the research; consideration in the theoretical plane of modern academic choral a cappella art; development of genre typology and outline of stylistic trends of modern academic choral a cappella music; studying the ways of development of modern academic choral a cappella art of Ukraine and Belarus and presenting composer practices in modern academic choral a cappella art in the aspect of synthesis and the ratio of "old" and "new" traditions; elucidation of the peculiarities of formation and socio-historical preconditions of the formation of modern academic choral a cappella performance in Ukraine and Belarus; research of the latest qualities and forms of the performance presentation of modern academic choral a cappella art. The research material consists of generally accepted paragons of modern academic choral a cappella music of Ukrainian (I. Shamo, V. Hubarenko, V. Bibik, T. Kravtsov, L. Dychko, V. Muzhchyl) and Belarusian (A. Mdivani L. Shleh O. Atrashkevych A. Bezenson V. Kuznietsov) composers; the total performance of the leading academic choirs of Ukraine and Belarus – the National Honored Academic Choir of Ukraine "Dumka", the Vyacheslav Palkin Academic Choir and the State Choir of the Belarusian Radio and Television. The system of modern academic choral a cappella art was described as open, in a state of constant interaction with the environment, when a constant updating and exchange of new information is carried out.
