Dissertation is devoted to elaboration of holistic system of scientific knowledge on strategic and tactical bases of counteracting crime in the sphere of subsoil use based on its complex criminological characteristic. The dissertation ascertains the state of scientific elaboration of issues of counteracting crime in the sphere of subsoil use. The work provides description and explanation of methodology of research of the crime in the sphere of subsoil use, which on complimentary bases taking into account background principles of dialectic determinism, specific concepts of social constructivism, phenomenology, existentialism and other. The dissertation characterizes the crime in the sphere of subsoil use as an object of criminological analysis. It formulates its narrow and broad concepts. The dissertation provides characteristic of crime in the sphere of subsoil use at a global level and in Ukraine. The work ascertains, describes and explains economic, political, cultural-psychological, legal, organizational-managing factors of crime in the sphere of subsoil use. The dissertation elaborates theoretical model of the mechanism of counteracting crime in the sphere of subsoil use encompassing axiological, target-oriented, structural-functional and organizational components, oriented at systematic homospere humanization, liberalization of public organization, economy, reduction in the influence of financial-industrial groups on political system, developing ecological consciousness, environmental protective specialization as well as increasing social efficiency of law enforcement and judicial bodies, criminological efficiency of legal regulation in the sphere of subsoil use. Also it has characterized the perspective approaches general social, special criminological and individual crime counteraction in this sphere.
