The dissertation analyzes the theory and practice of managing profile secondary educational institutions in the countries of the European Union; studies the sociopedagogical phenomenon of the European space of higher education; analyzes the theory and practice of profile education organization at the senior stage of general education; analyzes the problem of professional developmet of profile classes teachers in the 40 countries of the European Union in the national pedagogical theory; studies the question of scientific justification of professional training of a profile classes teacher by European scientists; determines the trends of profile education in the countries of the European Union; studies the issue of teachers’ continuing education, academic mobility as a factor of managing profile secondary institutions in the EU countries; analyzes the concept of personnel management in educational institutions; studies the issue of managing innovation processes in profile secondary educational institutions; characterizes leadership qualities of a head of a secondary educational institution as a guarantee of effective management; highlights the problem of communicative competence of a manager as the basis of effective management of a profile secondary educational institution; studies the issue of applying information and communication technologies in the management of profile secondary educational institutions, gives a comparative analysis of the management of profile secondary educational institutions in the countries of the European Union and Ukraine; reveals similarities and differences in the management of profile secondary education institutions in the EU countries and in Ukraine; determines the perspectives of using the experience of managing profile secondary educational institutions of the EU countries and in Ukraine. The main idea of the research is that the theoretical and practical principles of managing profile secondary educational institutions in the European Union countries are studied in the context of the socio-pedagogical phenomenon of the European space of higher education. The basis of the research is the vision of the concept of personnel management in the educational establishments of the countries of the European Union as an innovation process characterized by the use of ICT in the management and informatization of continuing postgraduate education of profile school teachers and the basics of effective management of a profile educational institution based on the principles of professional competence of teachers of profile secondary education institutions in the European Union, continuing education and academic mobility as a factor of managing the training of a professional teacher for a profile school. The results and conclusions of the study are a well-grounded system of scientific ideas for the development of concepts, normative documents and legislative acts on the issues of management of profile secondary educational institutions, as well as for the further development of strategies for reforming the system of pedagogical education in Ukraine.
