Essay

Object - the process of ensuring food security of Ukraine; goal - to grounded theoretical and methodological bases, scientific and practical recommendations of food security and to develop the strategic directions of ensuring food security in the context of the complementarity of the national economy; methods - theoretical generalization, dialectic, statistical, correlation, comparative analysis, graphical; novelty - at the methodological level, the food transmission mechanism is proposed; a new methodological approach to assessing the food security model of the national economy using cognitive FLC modeling is developed; the need for the implementation of the National Food Strategy to achieve socio-economic parameters is grounded; results - the classification of methods of economic studies of food security depending on the stages of their implementation is systematized; the signs of complementarity of the mutual development of agricultural producers, rural territorial communities and rural areas are identified; the paradigmocentricity of food security is proved; a new approach to quantitative measurement and integrated assessment of the regional food security in Ukraine is proposed; a methodical approach to optimizing food balances based on the standardization of their formats is developed; the methodology for conducting a socio-economic study of the level of food security of the population (FIES) for use in Ukraine has been adapted; the scientific and organizational basis for monitoring food security is proposed, the purpose of which is to identify challenges, threats and risks.
