In the thesis, the general regularities connecting the spectral-fluorescent properties of merocyanines with their structure in the gas phase, liquid and solid solutions and the solid state are established while studying multiple series of synthesized dyes using physico-chemical methods and quantum chemical analysis. The key driving factors are identified and analyzed, recommendations are proposed and, based on them, the tailored design and synthesis of merocyanines for modern light-sensitive functional materials are carried out.
