Borovyk M. Management of information and communication support for sustainable development of higher education institutions in the knowledge economy

The thesis for the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences on the specialty 08.00.04 – Economics and management of enterprises (by the kinds of economic activities). – Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Severodonetsk, 2020. An important scientific and practical issue on the information and communication management for sustainable development of higher education institutions in the knowledge economy is solved in the thesis. The essence of the concept of “sustainable development of higher education institutions” is specified. The content of information and communication support in the context of sustainable development of higher education institutions is determined. The component structure of information and communication support for sustainable development of higher education institutions is described. The knowledge classification used in the activities of higher education institutions is improved and the concept of "university knowledge" is singled out. The theoretical and methodological basis together with the concept of information and communication support management for sustainable development of higher education institutions in the knowledge economy is developed. The approach to determining the level of information and communication support of higher education institutions is proposed. The methodological approach to evaluating the effectiveness of higher education institutions on the basis of the information and communication network is presented. The network-centric approach to the information and communication support management for sustainable development of higher education institutions based on the extensive, multilevel information and communication network is shown. The managerial decision-making mechanism for higher education institutions based on the intelligent recommendation system for managerial decision-making support is improved. The management methodology for information and communication support of higher education institutions in the knowledge economy is formed.
