The purpose of the research is to develop a theoretical and methodological framework and to substantiate scientific, methodological, and practical recommendations for the formation of smart industry in Ukraine, in the conditions of the Fourth industrial revolution.
The object of the research: the processes of formation and development of smart industry in the conditions of the Fourth industrial revolution.
The subject of the research: theoretical and methodological principles as well as practical recommendations, which create conditions for the formation of smart industry in Ukraine, in the context of the evolvement of a new global geoindustrial structure and the need to overcome the existing technological gaps.
The scientific novelty of the obtained results is the development of a holistic package of theoretical and methodological scientifically justified practical guidelines for the formation and development of smart industry in Ukraine, in the conditions of the Fourth industrial revolution, and the formation of a new geoindustrial structure.
The practical significance of the obtained results is the implementation of the developed package of scientific, methodical, and practical recommendations will accelerate the innovation-driven development of national industry, raise its efficiency, and ensure greater compliance with the requirements of successful industrial systems in the new global environment, in the conditions of the Fourth industrial revolution.
The dissertation reveals the role of the fourth industrial revolution in the formation of a new geoindustrial structure of the world, reveals the features of smart enterprises and smart industry, developed conceptual provisions for the formation of smart industry in the emergent economy. The analysis of conformity of a modern condition of the industry of Ukraine to principles "smart" is carried out, preconditions of formation of the national smart industry are defined, the scientific and methodical approach to definition of dependence of digital expenses and real results of industrial activity is developed. The transformation potential of the smart industry in Ukraine is assessed and the ways of its increase are substantiated. The assessment of technological gaps between Ukraine and some European countries using the concept of technology life cycle, identified ways to overcome them. Recommendations for the organization of management and economic incentives for the development of the smart industry in Ukraine, the formation of an institutional environment conducive to its formation and further improvement have been developed.
