Essay

The dissertation is a theoretical and experimental study of the didactic foundations of the formation of research competence of students of environmental specialities. The structure of the studied competence is clarified from the standpoint of competence, activity, personality-oriented and integrative-developmental approaches. Research competence structure consists of cognitive, motivational-stimulating, operational, design and research, and result-evaluation components. The dissertation develops and theoretically substantiates author's concept of designing research activity for students of ecological specialities, which is based on the structure of philosophical preconditions of formation of research competence of students of ecological specialities, a number of methodological approaches , didactic and specific principles of formation of research competence of students of ecological specialities. The didactic conditions of formation of research competence of students of ecological specialities are defined and substantiated. The effectiveness of the author's didactic system on the formation of research competence of students of environmental specialities is experimentally tested, developed and implemented in the educational practice of higher education institutions scientific and methodological support of the process of formation of research competence of students of environmental specialities.
