Object - economic, managerial and regulatory processes of economic entities in their operation under the influence of destabilizing factors. The purpose is to develop theoretical and methodological provisions, scientific and methodological approaches and provide scientific and practical recommendations for the assessment and mechanisms to ensure the economic security of economic entities. Methods - general scientific and special methods: theoretical generalization and comparison; statistical and graphical analysis; decomposition approach; aggregation and integration; formalization and economic-mathematical modeling. Results - substantiated and proposed new approaches to solving scientific and applied problems, involving the development of theoretical and methodological, methodological and practical provisions and recommendations for assessing and mechanisms for ensuring economic security of economic entities in conditions of economic instability; a number of conclusions of conceptual-theoretical, methodological and scientific-practical nature, aimed at realizing the purpose of the dissertation research, are singled out. The novelty lies in the generalization, systematization and development of theoretical and methodological principles for the assessment and mechanisms of economic security of economic entities, as well as in identifying opportunities and justifying ways to improve its level.
