Object – the process of managing the viability of motor transport enterprises. Purpose – developing theoretical and methodological, conceptual principles and methodological and applied provisions for managing the viability of motor transport enterprises in the conditions of business environment transformation. Methods – the comparative analysis and graphical method, the system approach, the abstraction and logical analysis, induction and deduction, the structural-level approach, the wave approach, the two-level triadic decoding method, the morphological analysis and synthesis, the generalized function of desirability, the taxonomic analysis, the radar method, the method of hierarchies’ analysis. Novelty: the following were accomplished for the first time: a spatially dynamic approach to the development of viable enterprises has been developed; the conceptual bases of managing viability of motor transport enterprises are substantiated; the adaptive-oriented system of management of the enterprise viability on the basis of the cybernetic approach is offered; the following were improved: the theoretical basis of the study through clarifying the essence of the concepts of “viability of the enterprise” and “management of the enterprise viability” on the basis of the categorical method of two-level triadic decoding; multilevel recursive model of a viable enterprise system; scientific and practical approach to creating an integrated system of marketing and logistics of a motor transport enterprise; theoretical and methodological approach to assessing the corporate culture of the enterprise; methodical bases of evaluating environmental safety of motor transport enterprise; integrated scientific and methodological approach to the polystructural assessment of the level of enterprise viability; the following were further developed: theoretical and methodological principles of forming the technology of the enterprise interaction with partners in the socio-economic space; scientific and methodological aspects of assessing the relationship of the motor transport enterprise with partners (both internal and external); methodical approach to determining the level of strategic stability of the motor transport enterprise; theoretical and methodological bases of environmental and innovative management of a motor transport enterprise; methodical principles of developing the strategy of enterprise viability. Results – theoretical and methodological foundations, methodical approaches and practical recommendations for for managing the viability of road transport enterprises have been formed. Implemented – at the enterprises of road transport. Industry – road transport.
