Popovich I. Functional prognosis of dento-parodontal system in patients with generalized periodontitis.

The dissertation presents theoretical generalization of the experimental, clinical, laboratory, functional, radiological studies and offers a solution to scientific and practical problem, namely, substantiation of the strategy and principles of management of patients with chronic generalized periodontitis based on the prognosis of the periodontal tissues functionality taking into account the present pathogens. Clinical, radiological, laboratory, functional and experimental studies have proved the appropriateness of treatment of patients with generalized periodontitis, taking into account the etiological, pathogenetic, symptomatic approaches and adherence to the principles of complexity, combination, individualization, differentiation and course-structured treatment. The findings of the evaluation of the effectiveness of treated patients with chronic generalized periodontitis of I-III degrees indicate the appropriateness of using the above strategy and tactics of management aimed at achieving remission and long-term stabilization of the inflammatory-dystrophic process in periodontal tissues.
