Kotliarevska H. Administrative and legal support of the mechanism of citizens’ appeals in Ukraine

The dissertation is the first in the domestic administrative-legal science integral complex research devoted to administrative and legal support of the mechanism of citizens’ appeals in Ukraine. It is substantiated the conceptual approach according to which the institute of citizens’ appeals is one of the mechanisms of the interrelation between the state and society; its role in the process of enjoyment the human rights and freedoms in the context of the formation of civil society in Ukraine is defined. Thesis proves that the institute of citizens’ appeals exercises the following functions (the primary areas of legal influence on the social relations which reflect their role and aim in the regulation of the latter and are implemented through the relevant means for an adequate enjoyment and protection of civil rights, freedoms and legitimate interests): 1) law enforcement; 2) regulatory; 3) promotional; 4) informative; 5) control; 6) stimulatory.
