Dudiak N. Theoretical and methodological support of sustainable land use in the conditions of transformations of the national economy

The dissertation is devoted to substantiation of theoretical bases, methodological approaches and development of practical recommendations for sustainable land use in the conditions of transformations of national economy. The dialectical content of sustainable land use is covered in the dissertation. The importance of sustainable land use in the development of the national economy was shown in the paper. The evolution of scientific views on goals, principles of sustainable development and essential characteristics of rational use of land resources have been studied. The author's approach to the interpretation of the content of the definition of “sustainable land use” is formed in the work.The systematic measurement of sustainable land use has been proven. Methodological bases of maintenance of sustainable land use are developed in the dissertation. Methodical provisions of spatial-temporal assessment of socio-economic and ecological components of sustainable land use have been developed by the author. An interdisciplinary approach was used to ensure multi-criteria optimization of land use according to different land categories, taking into account the nature of agricultural land use. The structure of the land fund is assessed, the ecological and economic aspects of land use are characterized, the soil and climatic potential of agricultural lands and the steppe zone of Ukraine is determined.
