A dissertation presents an approach dedicated to solve an urgent problem of oncology, improved oncological prognosis in patients with metastatic liver disease with colorectal cancer (CRC) through the use of parenchyma-preserving surgical strategy (PPS) and the study of redox-dependent predictors of the early progression. The work based on 3 fragments, including an in vivo study (95 C57BL mice and 35 Wistar rats), a retrospective study (analysis of 285 clinical cases of liver resections in case of metastatic CRC) and a prospective study involving 185 CRC patients with metastatic liver disease.
