Kozych I. Functions of criminal law policy

The dissertation is devoted to the complex research of the theoretical and scientific problem of the functions of the criminal law policy of Ukraine. According to the results of the study, differentiation was made and the content of these functions is highlighted. In order to improve the effectiveness of criminal law policy, the relationships and interactions of functions with its other components have been identified The dissertation identifies and formulates provisions on which scholars in criminal law are unanimous (in particular, on the recognition of anti-crime policy as a public policy) or there is a diverse discussion (for example, the content, structure, internal components, principles, goals, objectives, tasks, levels, sources, subjects and other categories relevant to crime policy and its subsystems, etc.). It is established that only a few publications indicate that the system of criminal law policy functions is derived from the system of legal policy functions of the state in general (usually from the law enforcement function) and the system of policy functions in the fight against crime in particular. Based on this, it is stated that the functions of criminal law policy are little studied in modern criminal law science.
