Thesis is devoted to the complex research of criminological problems of the prevention of mercenary and violent crime in Ukraine. For the first time the scientific issue of the development of a holistic doctrinal approach to the formation of the concept of prevention of mercenary and violent crime was posed and solved, which provided an opportunity to substantiate proposals aimed at the improvement of the legislation and practice of its application by bodies and units of the National Police of Ukraine. The current state of scientific research is clarified and scientific approaches to the definition of mercenary and violent crimes are substantiated. The author considers the structure and dynamics of mercenary and violent crimes on the territory of United Forces Operation. The influence of military actions and the content of the determinants that contribute to the criminalization of public relations in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions are revealed. A conceptual vision of ways for the implementation of legal and organizational prevention measures at the national, special criminological and individual levels is suggested. The priority directions of the improvement of the informational and analytical provision and interaction of bodies and units of the National Police of Ukraine with other bodies for the prevention of mercenary and violent crimes on the territory of United Forces Operation are formed.
