Essay

Analysis of published data shows the complexity and difficulty of orthopedic treatment of adult patients with diabetes. Experimental animal studies in modeling diabetes and dental implantation showed a decrease interference with factors of nonspecific resistance, antimicrobial and antioxidant defense of the body and, consequently, the intensification of systemic inflammation and activation of lipid per oxidation. Conducted genetic and epigenetic studies in patients with diabetes, aimed at orthopedic treatment showed significant disturbances in the body markers of bone formation, factor antioxidant markers of metabolism of lipoproteins, proliferation of osteoblasts and a marker of bone tissue response to stress that demonstrates the need to consider these results in orthopedic treatment of such patients. The application of the developed treatment and prophylactic complex of orthopedic treatment support on dental implants of patients with diabetes allowed to reduce relative to the comparison group more than 3 times the percentage of mild and moderate complications and increase more than twice the percentage of patients without complications, improve periodontal and biophysical parameters of oral liquid, functional state of the microcapillary bed and barrier protection of the gums, indicators of fat metabolism and bone quality.
