The object of research - industrial development in the context of the spread of the Industry 4.0; goal - establishment of a theoretical and methodological framework of the determining the impact of Industry 4.0 on industrial development and develop conceptual approaches to the generating a set of tools for carrying out Ukrainian manufacturing adjustment to the technological challenges of Industry 4.0; methods – a systemic approach; the abstract-logical; a monographic; an economic-statistical; the systems-based comparative analysis; the computational and constructive method; the statistical comparison method; the groupings; a methanolysis; a data sampling; the integrated estimation; results - the elaboration of theoretical and methodological approaches to determining the economic substance of the Industry 4.0 phenomenon and the consequences of its impact on industrial development, which form the basis for assessing a country's opportunities and threats owing to their further implementation; development of a set of effective tools based on the effectiveness and sufficiency analysis of existing public policy measures that are relevant to stimulate the development and implementation of innovative technologies in Industry 4.0; novelty - theoretical and methodological approaches determining the impact of Industry 4.0 on the manufacturing development are well established and conceptual approaches to the formation of a set of tools for adapting the Ukrainian manufacturing to the technological challenges of Industry 4.0 are developed, which based on strengthening the strategic partnership of the state, science and business in the process of stimulating cluster development; improvement of innovation infrastructure, innovation ecosystems for the capitalization of scientific developments and the commercialization of innovations; creation of competitive conditions for all market participants, including equal conditions for access to the raw materials market, technology transfer, protection of property rights; reforming educational infrastructure; formation of a favorable investment environment through state guarantee mechanisms for foreign investment; degree of implementation - the results of the study were introduced into the practice of regulatory support of industrial policy by the legislative and executive authorities; scope (area) of use - economic and industrial policy, management and planning of the development of the national economy in the field of industry, as well as the educational process in specialized higher educational institutions of Ukraine.
