Essay

The dissertation examines the problem of implementing an integrative approach in school Natural Science Education at the methodological, theoretical and procedural levels. Theoretical and practical aspects of pedagogical integration, formation of structure and content of school natural science education on the principles of historicism and systematization of data as ways of analysis of the researched problem are investigated at the general didactic level. On the basis of theories of integration, formation of the content of education, textbook creation the theoretical basis of research is determined which defines the system of ideas, concepts, initial categories, the basic definitions revealing essence of the concept "integrative approach", the content and value of this approach in school natural science education; conceptual principles of building a didactic system of teaching natural science subjects on the basis of the integrative approach, prognostic model of school natural science education and didactic principles of implementing the integrative approach in teaching natural science subjects (didactic conditions, teaching models, teaching aids, teacher training). The theoretical and methodological basis of the didactic system of teaching Natural Science subjects consists of the main provisions of the theory of pedagogical integration, the theory of formation of educational content, and the theory of textbook formation.
