Filipenko N. Criminological activity of forensic science institutions of Ukraine: theory and practice

Dissertation is the first attempt to comprehensively to identify, describe and explain the phenomenon of criminological activity of forensic science institutions of Ukraine, predict trends in its transformation and provide these subjects with preventive knowledge able to adapt their system to the challenges of present time characterized by growing social contradictions, a significant complication of criminogenic situation by intensifying both traditional threats and criminal practices reproduced in the field of national security, their acquisition of hybrid, mixed forms using modern cognition method taking into account the latest achievements of legal science at the system processing level. Current state of scientific development of issues of criminological activity of forensic science institutions is investigated and research methodology is analyzed. The concept and content of criminological activity of forensic science institutions are defined. Characteristic of foreign experience of preventive activity of forensic science institutions is provided. Forensic science institutions of Ukraine as subjects of crime counteraction are considered and normative and legal bases of their criminological activity are studied. The principles of criminological activity of forensic science institutions of Ukraine are systematized. Organization and objects of criminological activity of forensic science institutions of Ukraine are analyzed. The directions and forms of criminological activity of forensic science institutions of Ukraine are presented, in particular within the framework of criminal proceedings and concerning legal population education. Scientific methodological framework of criminological activity of forensic science institutions of Ukraine is analyzed. Forms and methods of coordination of criminological activity of forensic science institutions of Ukraine are systematized and features of their interaction with other subjects of crime counteraction are studied. Ways to optimize the criminological activities of forensic science institutions of Ukraine are identified.
