Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the solution of an urgent scientific and technical problem of improving the forecast of the occurrence of endogenous fires in coal seams, taking into account the regularities of changes in the elemental composition of coal due to metamorphic transformations in order to increase safety during mining operations. The current state of forecasting the fire hazard of coal seams has been investigated, the possibility of using indicators of modern industrial classification to establish the safety of coal seams during mining operations has been determined, the expediency of using indicators of the metamorphism degree of coal of industrial classification to establish the tendency of coal seams to spontaneous combustion has been investigated, the influence of individual components of organic and mineral mass on carbonization and metamorphic transformations of coal has been determined, the improvement of the regulatory framework for the safe conduct of mining operations has been initiated and a method has been developed for predicting the tendency of coal seams to endogenous fire hazard, depending on the stages of coal metamorphism. The results of the research have made it possible to associate the risks of accidents with the elemental and technical analysis of coal in the seams, considering mining and geological conditions. The scientific results obtained in the work: methods and means of research have been developed, new technical solutions for predicting the endogenous fire hazard of mine layers by the degree of metamorphic transformations of coal have been considered and practically implemented in the activity of PLC "DTEK LUHANSK TERMAL POWER PLANT" (Shchastya), D. F. Melnikova mine PJSC «Lysychanskugol», IGTM named by N. Poljakov of NAS of Ukraine and the studying prosess an the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University. According to the calculations, the value of the prevented loss due to the implementation of the proposed measures in the coal industry will amount to 8736.2 thousand UAH/year.
