Essay

The dissertation presents the results of a research of the theoretical and methodological foundations of designing the content of variable education in institutions of general secondary education. The priorities related to the profiling of general secondary education have been determined. Scientific sources, current government documents and curricula, textbooks and manuals on the problem of research are analyzed, the importance of didactic principles for the formation of the variable component of the content of education is substantiated and the didactic functions of elective courses in a process of realization of profile education. The content-processual potential of the design of variable learning is considered as a resource of updating the theoretical and methodological foundations of designing the content of variable learning and the foundations of the development of a didactic system of variable education. A comprehensive structural and functional model of the design and implementation of the variable content of education was developed and substantiated. The developed theoretical foundations of the diagnostics of the effectiveness of the application of the content-procedural potential of the designing of variable learning are characterized. The organizational and pedagogical conditions for the implementation of the content-procedural potential of the design of variable learning as factors for monitoring the functioning of the didactic system of variable learning have been developed and substantiated. The results of scientific support and support of the process of implementing the content of the variable educational component in the didactic system of variable education of the Kyiv Gymnasium of Oriental Languages No. 1 were verified (based on the results of the All-Ukrainian experiment 2012–2019). The dissertation provides evidence that the theoretical and methodological foundations of the design of the content of variable education in general secondary education institutions are determined by the need for scientific design (creation of educational goals) of educational goals, which should cover subject-competence training in the context of profile education in order to ensure free orientation of pupil in the life and world of professions, to help in determining the priorities and values of the future graduate of the institution of general secondary education in conditions that are constantly changing under the influence of political, socio-economic and socio-cultural transformations.
